Online WebCT Vista Course Requirements

 

1) To access courses, students should:

 

go to the MyMCG page, https://my.mcg.edu/portal/page/portal/MyMCG/login

log in to MyVista.  

 

All courses to which you have been given access should be listed. If you have trouble logging in or courses are missing from your list, contact:

2) Students should review the “Student Experience” prior to beginning their first online course. This is available on the 'MyVista' home page.

 

3) Students taking online courses are expected to communicate with the course instructor by GroupWise email and/or WebCT email on a regular basis.

 

4) Students should visit each course they are enrolled in and monitor the bulletin board and email at least twice per week.

 

5) Students who experience technological problems while accessing WebCT should contact:

Solutions to common technical issues/problems are available via the “Read this First” icon present in all courses.

 

6) Students are responsible for maintaining current virus scan software on their personal computers. Files should be scanned before uploading into WebCT or sent via GroupWise email . Files containing a virus will not be accepted.

 

7) Students should disable Pop-Up Blocker software and Personal Firewalls to allow for accessibility of all WebCT course materials. Failure to do so may result in the inability to access pertinent course information and assignments.
