A unique opportunity to pursue certification as a registered health information administrator is offered to those students interested in the post-baccalaureate certificate program in health information administration. This program requires additional didactic courses. These courses are:

 

Anatomy & Physiology, two course sequence with lab required (8 hours); may be taken at any accredited college or university and the credit will be transferred. A grade of C or better is required.

 

Introduction to Health Information Management = 3 hours (Fall)

Medical Terminology = 2 hours (Fall)

Pathophysiology & Essentials of Pharmacology = 5 (Spring)

Health Data Classifications & Coding Systems = 3 (Spring)

Procedural Coding & Principles of Reimbursement = 3 (Fall)

 

Number of credits = 16
