Case Studies in Radiologic Imaging for Technologists
Appropriate Patient Case Study Selection
In order to integrate didactic material and provide organization to clinical instruction students will compile a Nuclear Medicine Procedure Manual derived from patient cases that are acquired, formatted, and analyzed with Clinical Supervisors and Physicians at clinical rotation sites. These cases will be presented in class each week and reviewed relevant to current unit content.
This project will provide concrete evidence and understanding of the pathology and procedural nuances concerning the interaction of radiation with matter, and metabolism of radiopharmaceuticals in the body: How Nuclear Medicine Works.
Cases will be included in the public access Radscape WebPortal on the MCG server. This environment will provide a record of you achievement in both learning and understanding of the issues pertaining to all areas of diagnostic imaging and patient treatment within the health care setting.
Refer to the learning outcomes and the selection of appropriate patient cases as a guide in your project.
