GENERAL ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Admission is based on the applicant’s prior academic performance at the college level and on an assessment of the applicant’s motivation and personal qualities needed to successfully complete the Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
■ Prior to enrollment, the applicant must have completed 60 semester hours of course prerequisites at another accredited college or university.
■ A grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) on previous college work is required for consideration.
■ Two letters of recommendation are required.
■ Eight hours of NMT job shadowing are required for those candidates already certified in another healthcare profession.
■ Twenty-five to forty hours of NMT job shadowing are required for those candidates with no previous healthcare experience.
■ Making arrangements for shadowing is the applicant’s responsibility.
■ A math & science grade point average of at least 2.3 (on a 4.0 scale) on previous college work is strongly recommended.
■ An interview with the Nuclear Medicine Technology admissions committee is required for acceptance; however, not every applicant will qualify for an interview.
■ Applicants whose first language is not English must submit official TOEFL scores. A minimum score of 213 on the computer-based exam or 550 on the paper exam is required for admission consideration.
■ Completion of prerequisites does not guarantee program acceptance.
