Communicate with patients & others in completion of tasks.

Retrieve & dispatch patients, within the department & well being
while he/she is under the
sonographer's jurisdiction.

Provide basic life support services when needed.

Secure & assist with advanced life support services, where indicated.

Assist with patient movement & perform positioning for sonographic
imaging & procedures.

Retrieve, manipulate, & operate sonographic equipment & adjunct
instruments for imaging.

Prepare & use procedure materials such as:
sterile trays, instruments, linens, & pt. care items.

Retrieve, manipulate, & operate sonographic equipment & adjunct
instruments for imaging.
-
Retrieve, secure for filming, & dispatch sonographic film holders
& recording mechanisms during the imaging process.
-
Process and/or retrieve sonographic images (hard copy films or digitally
stored), & dispatch patient & sonographic records.
-
Evaluate images for technical accuracy & procedures determination.
-
Assist the physician when doing special procedures ( amniocentesis,
biopsies).
-
Perform surgical & bedside sonography, move & operate related
instrumentation.
-
Work in various sonography departments in the hospital & outside
clinical facilities.
-
Perform basic equipment maintenance.
-
Receive & schedule patients, file, & assist with office &
clerical work.
-
Process procedure results in accepted formats (such as graphs, curves,
& charts).
-
Perform diagnostic sonographic tasks for an eight hour
shift assignment.
