HEALTH INFORMATICS FACULTY RESEARCH
The Department of Health Informatics (DHI) is committed to the promotion and expansion of excellence in research and scholarly activities related to population health, healthcare delivery, health information management, and education.
The DHI faculty's research mission is to be at the forefront of knowledge about interactions between health informatics, health systems management, and population health management and their influences to improving human health and enhancing the quality of life in Georgia, the nation and the world.
Our students are encouraged to explore opportunities for research ideas through their coursework. Graduate student research projects are presented at the annual Graduate Research Day, sponsored by the School of Graduate Studies. Students present their research at annual professional meetings, such as Georgia Public Health Association and the Georgia Health Information Management Association.
