Facilities

Sappington LibraryThe Department of Family Medicine is equipped with two libraries, the Sappington Library (pictured left), and the other in the call suite on the Family Medicine Inpatient Service, located in the MCG Hospital. The Sappington Library houses reference books covering a broad span of medical areas, several years of multiple major journals, and is the site of Morning Report, Noon Conferences, and other departmental meetings. It features a computer with a state-of-the-art multimedia presentation system consisting of wireless keyboard, a ceiling mounted projector, and has a built-in audio system. In addition, MCG's Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Library (pictured below) houses more than 150,000 bound volumes, almost 90,000 volumes of journals and more than 1,500 current journal subscriptions. The library participates in an interlibrary loan service and provides multiple electronic resources.
