Intellectual Property Committee

The Intellectual Property (“IP”) Committee (see the MCG Faculty Manual under “Policies”) provides oversight and broad-based input into the policies and procedures of the OTTED. Its seven members are appointed by the President, and it provides recommendations on processes, on whether or not to file a patent application, to seek other forms of IP protection, or to take alternative actions.

The IP Committee review is an integral step in the process of analyzing inventions and protecting them when appropriate.
