English Language Enhancement Program The English Language Enhancement Program, ELEP,
serves the non-native English speaking postdocs who are new arrivals at
MCG. The International and Postdoctoral Services Office setup ELEP to
offer assistance to improve the language skills of these new members of
the MCG research community through ESL instruction in basic
communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. ELEP Session - English Class at MCG

Augusta State University: ASU offers developmental English courses designed for non-native English speakers that focus primarily on reading and writing. Students must meet the qualifying TOEFL scores. These courses are eligible for the MCG Tuition Remission program. Click here for a complete course description. Augusta Headquarters Library ESL Opportunity" English as a Second Language Class, 902 Greene Street-Auditorium, meeting Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. Register by calling 706 821-2600 extension 3. This class is available to anyone age 15 or older, free of charge. Purchase the book at Barnes & Noble Booksellers for $21.26 plus tax or at other booksellers. Book title is Side by Side 1, by Steven Molinski. Two levels of instruction will be provided, basic and more advanced. The primary instructor is ESL certified. The focus of the class will be speaking and reading skills. Students may join at anytime as the class will meet on an ongoing basis. No child care is provided.

Private Tutor for Accent Reduction: Mary S. Snyder Offers an individualized learning program to reduce foreign accents that can be scheduled at the convenience of the client. Depending on language needs, clients have a choice of a 5, 7, 10 or a 13-week program of study. Classes are customized to the vocabulary and pronunciation needs of each client.
