How to Get Started on Your Research Study

Guidelines if you are in the School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Dentistry, School of Graduate Studies, School of Nursing and are NOT using MCGHI Resources:

STEP 1: Before beginning the submission process, everyone on the research team at MCG must complete the required research education, CITI (click here for CITI registration instructions)

STEP 2: Complete the appropriate HAC forms (click here to access the HAC Forms web page)

*HAC Forms 100 and 101 are required for all protocol submissions

STEP 3: Create a Description of Research Proposal (click here to access the requirements for creating a description of research proposal)

STEP 4: Create a Research Informed Consent Document, if applicable

(click here to access the requirements for creating a research informed consent document and/or children's assent document)

STEP 5: Ensure that all required signatures have been obtained on HAC forms being submitted
