Vaporizer Calibration Policy 

Following Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care-International recommendations and IACUC procedures, anesthetic vaporizers used in animal research must be calibrated or verified according to manufacturer specifications. Investigators must have available what the manufacturer recommends for their specific vaporizer unit and provide proof that the vaporizer has been calibrated. To facilitate the calibration process, Laboratory Animal Services (LAS) can assist investigators with sending the vaporizers out for calibration. Please contact the LAS veterinary technician or designee at 1-0201 to schedule a vaporizer pick up. The cost involved for vaporizer calibration will be billed to the investigator.
