Operation Identification is a campus crime prevention program open to everyone (students, employees, and faculty) of the Medical College of Georgia.  The goal of this program is to have people identify their property (such as bicycles, calculators, computers, TVs, etc.) by engraving such items and tracking important information about the items (such as serial numbers and model numbers).

You would be surprised at the number of items that are lost or stolen that can not be recovered because people could not provide vital information (serial numbers, model, etc.) about the item.  DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

We recommend you identify your property, such as bicycles, calculators, computers, TVs, VCRs, etc., by doing two things:

  1. Engraving each item with your social security number.

  2. Recording the following information about each item:

  • Brand Name
  • Model Number
  • Serial Number
  • Estimated Value
  • Color
  • Any Other Descriptive Information

The MCG Police Bureau has engravers that you may check out to engrave your property.
