The Public Safety Division has established Emergency / Assistance Telecommunication Network for the Medical College of Georgia campus. This network consist of over 200 Security Phones located throughout the campus. These phones, when activated by the caller, give your location to the police dispatcher automatically. Calls form these phones are treated as an emergency and will initiate an immediate police response, unless the caller states otherwise.
There are two types of phones on campus as illustrated in the photos to the right. Most are direct dial telephones located at key locations. All parking decks have these phones located at every level of every stairwell.
