Podcasting Grand Rounds from the Department of Pediatrics
September 25, 2009
Augusta, Ga. - Ms. Rena Pearson-Shaver and Dr. Jerry Miller have made MCG history as the first Grand Rounds presenters to have their presentations recorded as podcasts.
Using technology supported by the University System of Georgia and MCG's Educational Design and Development group, the podcasts have been made available to MCG faculty and residents, as well as community physicians.
Furthermore, CME credit is available for physicians unable to attend Grand Rounds in person.
Distance learning participants can view the podcasts on a laptop or desktop computer, or can upload them to a mobile device. After viewing the program, participants download and complete an evaluation form and a short quiz.
Community pediatricians and other physicians who would like to participate in this innovative program should contact the departmental office for registration information.
Further information, and a list of available podcasts, is available at the Grand Rounds webpage.
