Services for Child Care Providers

 

Training:

  • Family Development Credential (FDC)

  • Child care providers in Georgia are required by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care & Learning to receive annual training.  Training must be approved or accepted by the Georgia Child Care Training Approval System.  The only exception is Fire Safety, CPR and First Aid.  The following guidelines are supported by the MCG CCR&R for training sessions provided by community trainers:

Other Available Services:

  • Assistance for companies in dealing with employees' child care issues.
  • Advocacy on issues involving children on a local, state, and national level
  • Technical assistance for child care providers to improve existing quality, or achieve national accreditation, or in serving children with special needs
  • Informative bi-monthly newsletters
  • Mini-grant funding when available
