The Child Care Resource & Referral Agency (CCR&R) works hand in hand with parents and child care providers to ensure that children are in safe, high quality early learning environments. In addition to advocacy, the CCR&R provides direct services to parents and providers in a 14 county service area.

In August 2005, the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency of East Georgia at Augusta was awarded the distinction of Quality Assured by the Child Care Aware Consumer Education Quality Assurance Program.

Child Care Aware® administers this national, voluntary, quality assurance system for community child care resource and referral programs (CCR&R). The Quality Assurance Program is designed to ensure that families across the country have access to consistent, high quality consumer education and referral services. The process requires the CCR&R to provide detailed information about their quality services on 82 inputs, as well as passing a randomly placed referral call, with very rigorous requirements.

Nationally, there are approximately 850 CCR&R agencies. The CCR&R of East Georgia at Augusta was one of the first 100 to be a Quality Assured CCR&R agency in the country. The staff of the CCR&R is very proud to be recognized for their work.

Serving the following counties:

Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes
