1. Infants born to HBsAg negative mothers should receive 2.5 ug or Recombivax (Merck) or 10 ug of Engerix-B (SKB).

  • Infants born to HBsAg positive mothers should receive 0.5 mL HBIG within 12 hours of birth, and either 5 ug of Recombivax or 10 ug of Engerix-B.
  • Infants born to mothers whose HBsAg status is unknown should receive 5 ug of Recombivax or 10 ug of Engerix-B.

2. Adolescents not previously immunized should have their series completed. 2nd dose 1 month after first dose, 3rd dose 4 months after 1st dose and 2 months after second dose.

3.  DTP #4 can be given 12 mos of age, if at least 6 months have elapsed since #3. DTaP may be given for 4th and 5th doses after 15 months 4. The 2nd dose of MMR routinely recommended at 4-6 years of age or at 11-12 years of age, but may be given at any visit as long as 1 month has elapsed since the first dose
