Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Cancer Scholar Dr. Sally Weinrich conducts her cancer screening with a correctional officer at the Augusta State Medical Prision.

I look forward to working with persons throughout the state of Georgia related to prostate cancer education. I have research funding from Georgia Cancer Coalition to conduct cancer research. I am working with the statewide Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons on a prostate cancer Web site on the benefits and limitations of prostate cancer screening.

I am also collaborating with the correctional officers at the Georgia Department of Corrections. We are gathering data on both prostate and colorectal cancer screening. Dr. Laryssa McCloud, who works with me in cancer screening, is looking at the association between smoking and colorectal cancer screening.

Please call me with your ideas at the Medical College of Georgia, School of Nursing, 706-721-6799 or send an email, sweinrich@mcg.edu. I look forward to hearing from you.
