Couplet Care
MCG Health System recently held a “wedding” to celebrate the union of Postpartum and the Well Baby Nursery to provide couplet care.
Couplet care features one nurse caring for both mother and baby to offer continuity of care for both patients, to better partner with families, to give increased time and education to both mom and baby and to improve patient satisfaction.
“Our patient advisors specifically requested couplet care,” said Nurse
Manager Carrie Holloway. “We’re pleased to be able to offer this unique type of
care to our families.”
