Satisfaction
MCG is performing higher than the state and national
averages in several key areas of student engagement, according to a recent
national survey.
“We believe that our curriculum and the faculty/student
ratio encourage collaboration and a high level of engagement between faculty and
students,” said Dr. Mike Miller, vice president of enrollment and student
services.
MCG participated in the National Survey of Student
Engagement along with other four-year institutions of the University System of
Georgia. The survey measures an institution’s educational effectiveness against
comparison groups using five key benchmarks: level of academic challenge,
supportive campus environment, student-faculty interaction, enriching
educational experiences and active and collaborative learning. MCG scored equal
to or higher than other like participating universities in each of the
categories.
