Multimillion-Dollar Transfer
MCG Health, Inc. transferred approximately $11.5 million to the Medical
College of Georgia during the October meeting of the MCG Health, Inc. Board of
Directors.
“Every year, we transfer 43 percent of the health system’s margin to the
college. These funds contribute to the success of the entire organization,
bolstering academic development and research by world-class clinicians,” said
Don Snell, president and chief executive officer of MCG Health, Inc.
“The relationship between MCG and MCG Health, Inc. is truly synergistic,”
said MCG President Daniel W. Rahn. “It has enabled unprecedented, strategic
growth on our campus and improved health care for Georgians. We look forward to
continued collaboration and an even stronger future.”
Over the past four years, MCG Health, Inc. has transferred more than $43
million to MCG. |
