MCGHI transfers $9.4 million to MCG
MCGHI Board Chair Don Leebern Jr. and President and CEO Don Snell presented a check for $9,433,915.02 to MCG President Daniel W. Rahn during an Oct. 19 MCGHI Board of Directors annual meeting,
“Every year since its inception, MCGHI has been proud to support academic development and research by providing approximately 43 percent of its margin to MCG,” said Mr. Snell. “While we face numerous challenges as a not-for-profit organization, this relationship continues to be a priority as it enables us to recruit top physician specialists, deliver the latest therapies from the lab to the bedside, and provide the best care available to our patients and families.”
“We appreciate the continued support of our clinical partner in the advancement of the education and research missions of MCG,” said Dr. Rahn. “The growth of our academic, research and clinical enterprises is a testimony to the hard work of our faculty and staff as well as the support of our community and state.”
Over the past six years, MCGHI has transferred more than $60 million to MCG.
