The 12 Bands of Christmas CD Cover

12 Bands of Christmas benefits CMC

Bringing music and kids together is what 12 Bands of Christmas is all about. The annual CD and concert showcases Augusta’s best talent with original and traditional holiday music while raising money for the Tamara Cundey Dunstan Memorial Fund benefiting the Children’s Medical Center. Over the past three years, 12 Bands has contributed more than $80,000 to the fund, established in honor of Mrs. Dunstan, who was a pediatric oncology nurse at MCG.

The 12 Bands of Christmas – Volume 4 CD is available locally at the Metro Coffeehouse, Borders, Fat Man’s, PJ’s Coffee and select Circle K locations. The cost is $12 and included in each CD is one ticket to the Saturday, Dec. 23 concert at the Imperial Theatre. The 6 p.m. show will feature 20-minute sets from each of the dozen artists on the CD: Plug in Reindeer (eclectic), guitarist Chip McDonald, The Edison Project (modern rock), jazz singer Julie Easterlin, Rag Love (cabaret), Jemani (“rip hop”), singer Tara Scheyer, JJ Maj & the Unpolished Brass (Cajun soul), The Crowns (Southern gospel),  Impulse Ride (rock), The Shaun Piazza Band (indie folk rock) and newcomer Steve Dierkens. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
