Cultural sensitivity make a difference in treatment

Dr. Wynne Waugaman of the University of Southern California speaks to MCG nurse anesthesia students June 12 about the importance and value of understanding cultural sensitivity in patient care. Dr. Waugaman, an international leader in nurse anesthesia education and formerly the director of the nurse anesthesia programs at UCLA and Ohio State University, is the assistant dean of research and director of the Nurse Social Work Practitioner Program at USC, and the senior editor and contributing author of the widely used textbook Principles and Practice of Nurse Anesthesia.
