Area code changes coming soon
Effective April 3, all local calls will require dialing the area code and telephone number. A new area code (762) will be issued in the 706 area for new telephone numbers.
| What does this mean for MCG? All of MCG’s 721-numbers (old or new) will remain in 706 area code. Any calls going off-campus will require dialing 9 plus the 10-digit phone number. However, 10-digit dialing is not required for on-campus calls (ext. 1-3985) or for Georgia Technology Authority paging (3-1289). Now is the time to:
