Wanted: Feedback from Web publishers

The second quarterly MCG Web Publishing Forum is set for Feb. 23 from 3:30 to 4:30 in room BC140 of the Auditoria Center.

Hosted by the Office of Strategic Communications, the event is an opportunity for MCG’s Web site publishers to convene to share ideas and concerns.

“Whether you are a hands-on publisher or an administrative manager who coordinates Web content, you are encouraged to participate in this discussion,” said Jack Evans, MCG Web content administrator. “This discussion will not be limited to technical issues and there are no dumb questions.”

Last fall, Mr. Evans hosted the institution’s inaugural Web publishers’ forum and over 50 people participated.

“It was a very positive session because lots of people brought their concerns and others suggested solutions. Several comments and questions arose about how to distribute content between the campus and MCG Health, Inc. sites,” said Mr. Evans.

MCG Health Inc. Director of Marketing Kim Marlatt and Marketing Web Manager Cecelia Thomas will provide an overview of the MCG Health.org consumer site and the MCGHI intranet site, said Mr. Evans.

Other topics on the forum agenda include a progress report on the MyMCG Web portal and updates on extensive changes planned for MCG’s Web publishing environment.

For more information, contact Mr. Evans at jevans@mcg.edu or ext. 1-8606.
