Academic Council
The MCG Academic Council will host a reception for new faculty Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion. All faculty members are encouraged to attend to welcome new colleagues.
The Academic Council represents the faculty of each of MCG’s five schools in areas including promotion, tenure, faculty development and faculty grievances. Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. in room 3403 of the Sanders Research and Education Building. Meeting dates for the academic year are Aug.17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Dec. 21, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 15 and May 17.
General faculty assemblies will be held Thursday, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. in the Large Auditorium and Thursday, April 26 at 4 p.m. in Dental School Auditorium.
