President’s breakfast thanks corporations
Members of the President’s Corporate Fund enjoy breakfast and
networking during the President’s Corporate Partnership Breakfast Jan.
11 at the Cancer Research Center. The fund, one way community members
support MCG’s mission, allows President Daniel W. Rahn flexibility in
matching funds to campus needs where other grants may be tightly
restricted. To date, 37 local companies are members, with participants
pledging a minimum of $1,000 per year specifically to the fund.
Following breakfast and remarks from Dr. Rahn, Cancer Center Director
Kapil Bhalla led the group on a tour of the facility. The breakfast was
sponsored by Washington Savannah River Co. A second breakfast is planned
for late summer.
