  MCG, Paine College and Augusta State University observed the birthday of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at the annual tri-college celebratory service Jan. 12 at Paine College’s Gilbert Lambuth Memorial Chapel, where choral groups from all three institutions performed to a full house. Celebrating Dr. King

MCG, Paine College and Augusta State University observed the birthday of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at the annual tri-college celebratory service Jan. 12 at Paine College’s Gilbert Lambuth Memorial Chapel, where choral groups from all three institutions performed to a full house. Bishop Othal H. Lakey, vice chair of the Paine College Board of Trustees and presiding prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, was the guest speaker. Speakers also included ASU President Dr. William A. Bloodworth Jr., Paine College President Dr. Shirley A. R. Lewis and MCG President Dr. Daniel W. Rahn.
