Neuroscience Graduate Students 2007-2008
     2007 - 2008 Neuroscience Students

Gregory Digby

Greg Digby is a 5th year graduate student in the Nevin Lambert’s lab. The aim of their work is to determine the molecular mechanisms used by G proteins during signal transduction. His project is focused on understanding how effectors (such as ion channels and adenylyl cyclases) are selectively activated by certain G protein combinations. They have recently shown that some G proteins physically dissociate in living cells. Because it is possible that complete physical dissociation is required for some interactions with effectors, these studies could help elucidate how G proteins regulate signal transduction pathways.
