Other Benefits
Resident benefits include group health insurance for the resident, malpractice insurance, group life insurance, disability insurance and parking. Dental insurance, health insurance for the resident's family, and additional life insurance are available at an additional cost.
Time Off
Vacation. Each resident is allowed 21 days off for annual leave. Annual leave does not accrue from year to year.
Educational Leave. Each resident is given 7 days per year of leave to attend educational conferences.
Sick Leave. Residents are allocated 14 days of sick leave per year and may accrue to a maximum of 21 days. After the first year 7 days of sick leave may carry over.
Annual, conference, and educational leave dates are subject to the approval of the resident's program director. Leave requests should be submitted 30 days ahead of time.
