Emotions of a pediatric epilepsy patient

Patient Ambassador Program

We understand there is a lot of anxiety and stress when you are a parent of a child with epilepsy. No one can understand your experiences like another family who is encountering a similar situation. As part of our program, we have former and present patients who volunteer their time and health care experience to talk to others who have questions about epilepsy and epilepsy treatments. This allows one-on-one time with someone who shares similar experiences or may have had experiences your child and family have questions about.

To take part, please contact Pam Culberson-Brown, RN, MSN at
pcbrown@mcg.edu or 706-721-3371 with the following information:

  • Your child's name
  • Your child's age
  • The city and state that you live in
  • The type of epilepsy your child has been dianosed with
(Temporal lobe, Extra-Temporal lobe, or Other)
  • The medications you child is taking
  • Questions you may have about epilepsy or our program
  • A contact numberr you can be reached at
