Faculty Position
The Department of Neurology, Medical College of Georgia, is recruiting a board certified neurologist with additional training in epilepsy and neurophysiology at an accredited institution, to join our Comprehensive Adult & Pediatric Epilepsy Program. The candidate should have an established neuroscience research background, or a clear intent to develop and engage in basic or clinical neuroscience research, or both. Clinical responsibilities include patient care, inpatient and outpatient EEG interpretation (including intra-operative monitoring and evoked potentials), in addition to teaching and research. This is a tenure track appointment, with position and salary commensurate with the level of experience.

Epilepsy Fellowship
The Medical College of Georgia, Neuroscience Center is now offering a designated 2-year epilepsy fellowship. Eligible candidates will be in their final year or will have completed a neurology or neurosurgery residency at an accredited institution, and will be able to obtain approval to practice medicine in the state of Georgia. The position is funded for both years, but fellows will be encouraged to generate funds for the second year through research proposals and activity. The fellowship will involve in depth involvement in all components of the MCG Comprehensive Adult and Pediatric Epilepsy Program, including the Clinical Service, the Educational Program, the Neurodiagnostic Service, and the Research Program. Candidates applying with a neurosurgical background and interest will have a slightly different clinical fellowship, with the second year focusing nearly entirely on Surgical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Surgery. This position is geared toward those individuals interested in an academic career.

The Medical College of Georgia Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is one of the most active and oldest epilepsy programs in the US, having been established as a Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in 1976; the Epilepsy Surgery Program was established by Dr. Herman Flanigan in 1981. Dr. Flanigan was a student of Dr. Wilder Penfield. MCG is part of the University System of Georgia, and is an EO/AA employer.
