Adult stem cells aid recovery in animal model of cerebral palsy

Transplantation of bone marrow-derived cells for the treatment of stroke

 We are transplanting the cells into rats after a stroke has been induced.

 Recent Outcomes of Our Work

Initial results show that adult stem cell transplantation significantly improves the behavioral outcome in adult stroke and neonatal hypoxic-ischemic injury in rats.
