Clinical Interests
- Neuropsychological assesssment of adults, adolescents, and children
referred for evaluation off cognitive and personality functions with known
or suspected brain disease or trauma
- Intracarotid sodium amobarbital (Wada) procedures on epilepsy surgery
candidates (children and adults) to determine cerebral dominance for
language and memory
- Cortical mapping of sensorimotor and language areas and evaluation of
memory during neurosurgery (and from chronically implanted electrode
grids) to minimize postsurgical deficit

- Human cerebral hemispheric
specialization for memory functions
- Language, emotional expression, and
other cognitive functions during intraoperative monitoring, functional
fMRI, and pre- and post-temporal lobectomy
- In utero effects of antiepileptic
drugs on neurodevelopment.
