Renew Library Material Online

There are three pre-conditions to meet before MCG customers may renew Greenblatt Library materials:

1. Material must not be overdue.
2. All existing fines on a Library account must be paid before renewal.
3. Material on hold for another Library customer may not be renewed.

There are three methods for renewing Library material after meeting the pre-conditions:

1. Return material to the Library Information (LInC) desk and renew.
2. Contact the Library Information (LInC) desk during operating hours 706-721-3441 and renew over the phone.
3. Renew Library material online through "My Account" in GIL@MCG.

To renew online:

1. Go to the GIL@MCG home page (http://gil.mcg.edu) and click Renew books online.
2. Home Institution: Medical College of Georgia
3. Enter patron barcode and last name as requested.
4. Click Logon to My Account.
5. Scroll down My Account to heading Items Checked Out.
6. Place check mark(s) in left column marked Renew? and click Renew Items. (The Renew? column will not appear when material is overdue, if there are unpaid fines, or when checked out material is on hold for another customer.)
7. Click Exit to leave "My Account" (or click Logoff My Account at the toolbar at the bottom of the page).
