Populate an EndNote Library: Direct Import method (PubMed)
- Search PubMed MEDLINE.
- Mark PubMed records to copy into EndNote.
- At Display pull-down menu, choose MEDLINE format; click Display. (Fig. 13)
- At Send To pull-down menu, choose File; click Send To. (Fig. 13)
- At file download window, choose Save.
- Select locaiton in "Save As" box.
- Name file and add ".txt" to change file type to plain text (do not pick default fcgi).
- Click Save.

Open EndNote 7.0 and choose an EndNote Library to import the saved references.
- File > Import. (Fig. 17)
- At Import Data File, retrieve the plain text file by clicking Choose File...
- At Import Option, choose PubMed (NLM). (Use "other filters..." link to locate and choose other EndNote import filters).
- Click Import.
