Create an EndNote 7.0 Library

EndNote is organized around EndNote "Libraries"; any number of Libraries (file extention *.enl) may be created, and Libraries can hold many references. The references can be citations of journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, images, etc. Because EndNote Libraries are files, the references in an EndNote Library can be edited, manipulated, and disseminated in various ways.

To create an EndNote Library

  1. Open EndNote 7.0.
  2. File > New (New Reference Library opens).
  3. At File Name: provide a name for the Library; click Save. (Fig. 3).
