EndNote Manuscript Templates Format Documents

EndNote 7.0's Manuscript Templates can simplify formatting a paper by setting up margins, font, headings, pagination, line spacing, etc.

To use an EndNote Manuscript Template with a MS Word document:

  1. open EndNote 7.0.
  2. Tools > Manuscript Templates.
  3. In Manuscript Template box, browse the file list of manuscript templates.
  4. select a Template file and click Open. For example, "APA 5th" was chosen.


    5. The Manuscript Template wizard opens (Fig. 29):
  5. enter information, clicking Next to continue to the next section of the wizard.
  6. click Finish to exit wizard.

Because EndNote coordinates with word processing software like MS Word, access to templates may also be available from MS Word:

  1. Open MS Word.
  2. File > New(New box opens).
  3. click EndNote tab and select template.
  4. confirm Create New Document selected, then click OK.
