Sending an ILL (Interlibrary Loan) Request
Through the OVID Web (version 7.05) Interface.

NOTE: This feature only available for the Medline and CINAHL databases (all year segments).

Follow these simple instructions:

  1. Search as usual and select with check marks the citations
    that interest you.
  2. After selection is complete, scroll down to the end of the
page to the Citation Manager box. Select the Order button.
Note: In the Citation Manager box, selecting Citation
Only (in the Field Category) should supply the ILL office
with the information they need to fill the request.
  3. After selecting Order, you'll be prompted to fill out a Personal Information Form (Name, Phone, etc.). The form
information can be saved permanently by checking the Save
Profile box at the end of the form.
  4. Select Continue
  5. Fill out the Billing/Delivery form
(There is no option to save this information permanently).
  6. At the bottom of the Billing form, the articles you requested are listed. Double check to see if the library already
has the article. If we do, the same message that appears in Medline, and other Ovid databases will appear. e.g. LIBRARY HAS CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION.
  7. Select the Order Items button
  8. A copyright statement appears before the request is submitted. Press Agree.
  9. Done. All other ILL questions should still be directed to
    1-6374.
