Health Science Ejournal Information - "A national Network of Libraries of Medicine/National Library of Medicine collection of authoritative web sites on the complexities of electronic journal issues including collection development, licensing and scholarly publishing initiatives."

Health Web - Provokes links to relevant, evaluated health information resources selected by librarians and information professionals at leading academic medical centers in the Midwest.

Martindale's Health Sciences Guide - A multimedia source containing teaching files, case studies and textbooks. Site includes the Virtual Medical, Dental and Nursing Centers. Maintained by the University of California

Medline Plus - Provides access to dictionaries, a variety of databases and several major health topics. The site is maintained by the National Library of Medicine.

MedWeb - A large variety of medical web sites, keyword searchable, or divided by topic, from Emory University.

National Guideline Clearinghouse - A federal government site containing public resources for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. The guidelines can be from government or professional organizations.

Virtual Hospital - Contains information for health care
Professionals and consumers in a variety of formats. Full text books,
multimedia teaching files, patient simulations and practice guidelines
are included. The site is maintained at the University of Iowa.


General

Infomine: Scholarly Internet Resource Collections - A virtual library and reference tool which offers scholarly information via various databases, electronic journals, electronic books, bulletin boards, listservs, online library card catalogs, articles and directories of researchers and more. Created by the University of California.

SPEC Flyer 250 Educating Faculty on Scholarly Communication Issues - Transforming Libraries no. 10, Educating Faculty on Scholarly Communication Issues, explores the diverse ways that libraries currently educate faculty about scholarly communication issues. Approaches range from information provision to advocacy and from one-on-one discussions to working with large groups.

Internet Public Library: Reference Center - As the reference component of the Internet Public Library, this site offers interdisciplinary information organized into subject categories which may be accessed by clicking on a specific area of the image map. The user may also "Ask a Reference Question" online, too. Sponsored by the University of Michigan School of Information.

Librarian's Index to the Internet - a searchable annotated subject directory of more than 5,200 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries. Sponsored by the Library at the University of California at Berkeley and Sun Microsystems, Inc.
