Instructional Designers at the Medical College of Georgia hold Masters Degrees in Educational Technology as well as certification in distance and online instruction. The designers consult with faculty about course development and instructional project management. They bring expertise of learning theory, and experience in both instructional design and technology. Our designers provide faculty development, and specialized online course development. Their capabilities include:

  • Course design consultation
  • Faculty training for the instructional use of distance learning tools and other instructional technology
  • Selection and implementation of classroom teaching methods and strategies
  • Research related to instructional resources and decision-making
  • Grant writing assistance for instructional development projects

  • Consultation for the design and evaluation of instructional materials using various media
