Video Conferencing Service Costs

Cost Recovery

All requests for the video conferencing service will be processed on a standard Inter-Departmental Request (IDR) to the administrative section of ITSS. The IDR must be complete with the required information along with the user's full name and e-mail address.

Price

The cost is 50 cents per minute per connection. For example a video conference between three connected sites for 1 hour would cost $90. [60 minutes x .50 x 3 connections]

Distance learning courses using MCG Video Conferencing are NOT charged for the service.

User Responsibilities

Option 1: Desktop - Obtain the necessary hardware (webcam and audio capabilities i.e. Logitec QuickCam Pro 5000 - $79.99) and software (Polycom PVX Software License - $149 each) needed for this service. See system requirements for minimum computer requirements.

Option 2: Video Enabled Conference Room - There are various video enabled conference rooms across campus. Contact Classroom Services for availability and scheduling.
