NetID

All computing access at MCG is handled through your NetID. This ID is asigned to all new students and employees, and can be easily maintained at the MCG Self Service site.

Connecting on and off campus

Wired and wireless network access is available throughout academic and administrative buildings on MCG's campus. Faculty, staff and students also can connect to MCG's network from off-campus across the Internet through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection.

IT security

ITSS is committed to helping faculty, staff and students to protect their computers and information from viruses and spyware. MCG provides free anti-virus software to students, faculty and staff via download. Find out about virus protection, and learn how to set a strong password, practice conscientious downloading and protect against phishing attempts.

Desktop Video Conferencing

Faculty, staff and students have access to a video communication service: MCG Video Conferencing. The technology allows person-to-person video conversations and group meetings using a video-conferencing device or PC (with special software and a Web cam).
