(provides specific guidelines)About the Testing Process
Currently, the Testing Office supports the National Computer
System's Scan Tools software. This test-scoring process requires a test scoring
cover sheet and bubble sheets, beginning with the key sheet. Bubble sheets are
run through an optical scanner based on answers from the "key" sheet. Once the
testing information is scanned, the data from the scan is run through a SAS
(statistical software) program for analysis and then printed for the faculty
member. The output can be reformatted and e-mailed to the faculty member and
imported into Microsoft Excel.
Purchasing of Forms
Purchasing of the test sheets ("bubble-sheets"), is done on
an annual basis by the Purchasing Department after July 1 of each year. For
further questions regarding the purchase of test sheets, please call Purchasing
at 1-2035.
Online Testing is done within Vista (a course management system) using a software application called Respondus. For more information about using Respondus, please contact Barbara Pisano at 706-721-8972 or .
