Q. Can a question have more than one answer?

 A. There can only be one response per question on the key or the student answer sheet. Since this is the case, there can be only one correct answer. The test can be designed where a single response by the student selects multiple answer options.

Q. How soon can I receive the results?

A. The Testing Office will score your test within 24 hours.

Q. Can I omit a question?

A. Yes. Just erase the answer for the question on your answer key "998 sheet". Do not subtract it from the "Number of questions" line on your cover sheet.

Q. Can I accept any answer for a question?

A. Yes. You must create an answer sheet with “995” in the first 3 digits of the Identification Number field. Bubble in B for the corresponding question. This will inform the scoring system that any response from the student should be considered correct.

Q. How do I weight questions on a test?

A. Code this sheet with a “997” in the first 3 spaces of the Identification Number field. Write the word “Weight” above the space containing Medical College of Georgia on the front of the form. Questions can be weighted for assigning different point values. The maximum number of points that can be awarded for a correct answer depends on the form used.

Form Maximum
5-choice/True-False blue  5 point
10-choice green 10 point

The point value is given by the response position, i.e., a    response of H on question number 53 results in a weighting of 8 points for question  number 53.

Q. How do I create sub-tests within a test?

A. Code this sheet with a “996” in the first 3 digits of the Identification Number field. Write the word “Subtest” above the space containing Medical College of Georgia on the front of the form.

The number of subtest that can be selected depends on the number of response options on the form. The subtest selection is similar to the assignment of weights, i.e.: If you bubble in "C" on the "996" sheet for a question that question will be on "subtest 3". If you create a subtest sheet all questions do not have to be included on a subtest.

Q. What order should I put the forms in?

A. Place the sheets in the following order. Student answer sheets need not be in alphabetical order since the program sorts them as part of the processing.

    Cover Sheet
    Key            “998”
    Weight        “997”            (if used)
    Subtest       “996”            (if used)
    Options       “995”            (if used)
Student Answer Sheets   (no particular order)
