Updating demographic information in GroupWise

Updating GroupWise demographic information just got easier. If you are a campus employee, your GroupWise information is now linked to PeopleSoft in Human Resources. Your department security authority will no longer need to submit a special form to ITSS to request GroupWise updates.

To initiate an update of your GroupWise address book information:
 
To change your name First, complete a name change request in SoftServ. You will then be required to present a Social Security card showing your new name in HR before the change request can be processed.

If you prefer to be known by a name that is different from your legal first name, send an e-mail to HUMANRESOURCES_PROCESSING@mcg.edu requesting that a “preferred name” be added to your employee record. Include your employee ID number from your pay stub.

To change your department listing Department changes must be initiated with HR by the department manager using page four of the Position Classification Form.
To change your campus address Campus address changes must be initiated by the department manager by e-mailing your designated HR generalist.
To change your telephone or fax number You can update your telephone and fax numbers yourself using SoftServ.

If you believe that your information is correct in PeopleSoft but it is displaying differently in GroupWise, contact the IT Service Desk at 1-4000 or .

Leased employees and employees of MCGHI, MCG Foundation, PPG and UGA Clinical Pharmacy should continue to request updates through their department security authority.
