Microsoft Campus Agreement

MCG participates in the University System of Georgia Board of Regents Microsoft Campus Agreement (MCA).

The MCA does not license all Microsoft products, but it does license a core set of key application products that are in widespread use. Faculty and staff have access to the latest releases of Microsoft products as listed below:

• Office for Windows
• Office for Mac
• Windows Desktop Operating System Upgrades

Before purchasing any software product, please confirm that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. See: Minimum system requirements to run Microsoft products.

Authorized Use
MCG faculty and staff are authorized access to current software packages covered by this agreement for use on their MCG-owned computer and on one personally-owned computer, which is used for business purposes.  Students are also authorized to use the software on one personally-owned computer. A nominal fee will be charged to recover the cost of the CD or DVD media. Departments will only be charged if they request their own copy of the media.

Important
Individuals requesting any software covered by this agreement will be required to complete and sign an acceptance form acknowledging their agreement to the terms and conditions of the program.

Distribution
MCG departments may be purchase the covered software directly from Managed Software Distribution by completing the order form available at www.msd.uga.edu. Media kits are also available from Information Technology Support & Services in limited quantities.

Departmental Purchases – Fax us an Interdepartmental Request form at 1-7296.

Employee Purchases - Stop by the IT Service Desk and complete an order form. Once the order form is completed, you will be sent to the Cashiers Office in the Administration Building to pay. Once you have paid, bring the order form back to us to receive your software. Quantities are limited to one Office suite and one Windows upgrade per employee.
You are purchasing the right to use the software and will be expected to remove it from your computer if your employment with MCG ends or if MCG opts to not renew the MCA.

Student Purchases - Stop by the IT Service Desk and complete an order form. We will charge the cost to your PULSE account. You can take delivery of your software immediately. Quantities are limited to one Office suite and one Windows upgrade per employee.

You are purchasing the right to use the software and will be expected to remove it from your computer if you withdraw from MCG prior to graduation or if MCG opts to not renew the MCA. Upon graduation, your software license converts to a perpetual license, meaning you will assume full ownership of the software.
