An account is available for reporting spam abuses to Information Technology. The account name is . Any unwanted message should be forwarded as an attachment to this account. To forward as an attachment, right click on the messages icon and select "Forward as Attachment"; using this method ensures that the proper tracking information is included in the report. Messages reported to this account will be examined for possible additions to system subject blocks or domain blocks and will be reported to spam blocklists currently used by The Medical College of Georgia Messaging Services.

There have been several measures implemented to reduce the unsolicited messages received by MCG faculty, staff, and students, and Information Technology is investigating more spam prevention methods.
