After running Entourage, open account settings.

At the "Accounts" screen, click on the "New" button.

Once the Account Setup Assistant opens, click the Right arrow in the lower right corner.

On the second screen of the Account Setup Assistant, type in your full email address.
Click the Right arrow in the lower right corner.

On the third Account Setup Assistant screen fill in the appropriate information.
There are 2 methods for retreiving mail:
POP – downloads the mail to your local computer and optionally deletes the messages from the mail server.
IMAP – the messages reside on the server. IMAP allows you to browse these messages as they reside on the mail server.
Based on the above information, choose your preferred account type from the "Incoming mail server type" pulldown.
Regardless of the server type you choose use "pop.mcg.edu" as the "Incoming mail server".
Use "smtp.mcg.edu" for the outgoing server.
Click the Right arrow in the lower right corner.

You can optionally choose to verify your settings.
Click the Right arrow in the lower right corner.

You can optionally choose a descriptive name for the account on this screen.
Click on "Finish".

Double-click on the newly created account to open the "Edit Account" screen.

There are some additional important changes that need to be made to the account.
Click on the button that says: "Click here for advanced receiving options"

Check the first checkbox to enable ssl.
SSL is a way to encrypt the communication between the mail server and your computer so that a 3rd party cannot eavesdrop on your communications as it travels across the network/internet.

Click on the "Options" tab.
"Make sure to select "Partially receive messages over ____ KB." And type in "6000" for the amount.
This setting will allow Entourage to continue to work correctly even if you receive a large attachment.
You can optionally check "Leave a copy of each message on the server".
Please note that Entourage defaults are to remove the message from the server upon download. If you still want to access your messages via web mail or another email client at a later time you will need to leave the a copy of the messages on the server.
Click OK.

Click on "Send / Receive" from the main Entourage window.

The First time you connect you will be presented with a certificate error. Please click the "OK" button.
